Ibanez Tube Screamers

Ibanez is a world leader in making musical instruments. The Ibanez Corporation started producing the guitars that gained a wide range of acceptance and became a whole lot popular due to its low price range and excellent quality. The Ibanez is known for their innovative and cutting edge technology and the process of improvement over the passage of time just made it the most popular brand of time. Along with many guitar models that Ibanez has produced, they have also produced effects pedals in which the Ibanez Tube Screamers were a huge success.

Ibanez started working with the Maxon company in 1970 and began selling the effects pedals in Japan. The Ibanez Corporation started selling these effects pedals under their name outside Japan. But over the passage of time, Maxon stopped producing the pedals and then Ibanez took over and started manufacturing the effects pedals. The pedals that were introduced earlier were the Overdrive I and II pedals and then Ibanez produced their first Ibanez Tube Screamer in the late 1970s. These pedals have the JRC4558D integrated circuit IC.

The musicians really loved Ibanez Tube Screamers and said that it is one of the best pedals that produced excellent imitation of the sound created by the overdriven vacuum tube guitar amplifier. Since Ibanez is known for its innovation, they just did not stop with the production of the Ibanez Tube Screamers and have produced much improved effects pedals. The first Tube Screamer was the Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9 and it only had a few component changes. In 1985, there was another series of Ibanez Tube Screamers known as the L series.

The production of the Ibanez L series only took place for a year and then the suddenly they stopped the production. Then in 1986, another series was introduced, which was known as the Ibanez Tube Screamer Power Series. There was not much change as compared to the previous series and in order to make the product within the reasonable range of clients, the Ibanez Tube Screamers used the potentiometers and jacks that were mounted on the circuit board. In the year 1992, Ibanez started producing the Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9 again. In 1996, Ibanez added a CE sign at the back of the pedals, which meant that these pedals were not for sale in Europe.

Another series of Ibanez Tube Screamers were the Ibanez Sound Tank series, which was produced in the metal in its first line of production but then they started to produce the Ibanez Tube Screamers in the plastic version. In 1998, another new model was introduced known as the TS-9DX in which they added a new 4-way switch to add changes to the capacitor and also the changes in the clipping section. In the year 2000, Ibanez introduced the Tone Lok series.

Ibanez Tube Screamers over the passage of time have got increased popularity and since there was an increased demand, the Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-808 was reintroduced again in the year 2004 with the JRC4558D chip. Ibanez has been the market leader for musical instruments and still holds the same position throughout the world.
