Tom Cruise plays Jerry Maguire in the film and does a good job at it. The only strange parts are when Cruise must get emotional as the character. He is not an actor that looks good crying or getting weepy. Renee Zellweger is outstanding in her role. She proves she is a great actress that is deserving of praise. Cuba Gooding, Jr. does well as the hyped up athlete as well. Gooding, Jr. is fantastic with his talent and shows once again that he is worth all of the hype.
Script
The whole story of Jerry Maguire was interesting and amusing. You have this man who has an epiphany and loses his high paying job. He was a sports negotiator who helped athletes get great contracts. The only client he has is played by Cuba Gooding, Jr. who does a great job in the film. Renee Zellweger is his leading lady, although it seems he is not that interested in her at first. Overall, the script will have you laughing and crying. You will love how the hard business man melts into someone who can love and laugh again. It reminds you a lot of what Tom Cruise is doing these days.
